Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of music do you play?
I offer a curated selection of gentle, calming pieces across three main categories: Comfort & Serenity, Remembrance & Reflection, and Spiritual & Sacred. You can choose the tone that best fits your setting, or I can help guide the selection.
Is this service appropriate for bedside visits?
Yes. My sessions are designed specifically for palliative and long-term patient care. The music is soft, respectful, and paced to suit quiet, personal moments.
Do you play indoors or outdoors?
I primarily perform indoors at bedside or in small gathering spaces. Outdoor settings may be possible, depending on weather and environment.
Can you play special song requests?
Absolutely—special requests are welcome when feasible. Please note that they require additional preparation time and will incur an extra fee.
Are there any add-ons available for the session?
Yes. In addition to live violin music, you may request a small, floral arrangement to be brought to the session. This gentle touch can add warmth and visual comfort to the environment. If you'd like to include flowers, please let me know in advance — a modest additional fee will apply to cover cost and preparation. Other personalized touches may also be available depending on the setting and timing.
Do you perform with accompaniment?
Yes. I can perform solo (a cappella) or with a gentle backing track, depending on your preference and the setting.
What do you bring with you?
I bring my instrument, a small portable speaker (if a backing track is requested), and anything needed for setup. I dress professionally and arrive with respect for the space and those present.
What areas do you serve?
I’m based in Richmond, VA and serve hospice facilities, homes, and spiritual communities within the surrounding area. If you're unsure whether you're within range, please reach out—I’d be happy to discuss.
